Fenerbahce may replace Wendel with an old Dynamo football player

The Turkish club "Fenerbahce" is interested in acquiring the central midfielder of the "Zenit" team, Vendel. This was reported by www.euro-football.ru.

According to the Milliyet publication, the Istanbul club plans to add this player to their squad in case the former player of Moscow's "Dinamo," Sebastian Shimanski, leaves. Earlier, it was reported that "Zenit" had reached an agreement with Brazil's "Botafogo" club regarding Vendel's transfer, but the deal did not go through due to financial issues on the buyer's side at the last minute. In the current season, 2024/2025, Vendel has played a total of 27 matches across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 13 assists. Vendel's transfer value is estimated to be around 20 million euros.

The 27-year-old Brazilian player's current contract is set to last until June 30, 2028. This situation keeps the possibility of his transfer to another team in the future.

"Fenerbahce" is looking to strengthen its squad by adding this player.
