Liga 1 rejected PSG's request to postpone the match

The French Ligue 1 championship will not change the date of the first round, even though Paris Saint-Germain club made a request for it. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

RMC Sport reported on this matter. The Parisians planned to start the season a bit later, as players could experience fatigue if the team reached the final of the Club Championship held in the USA.

However, the league management decided to maintain the previously approved schedule. Thus, the match between PSG and Nantes will take place as scheduled on August 17. Last season, the Parisians made a similar request and managed to move the game against Nantes, but this caused discontent among other participants.

This time, however, the tournament organizers decided not to grant such a privilege due to the necessity to respect the established schedule and overall order. Therefore, the set dates will not be changed in order to create equal and fair conditions for all teams.

The discipline in the league and the previously approved plan are considered important. From the beginning of the season, all games are planned to be held according to the schedule.

This ensures stability for teams and fans.
