Guberniev: Akinfeev is the best goalkeeper in the RPL

Famous TV presenter Dmitry Guberniev expressed his opinion about the best goalkeeper of the last season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Previously, the Russian Football Union recognized 39-year-old CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev as the best goalkeeper of the last season. According to Guberniev, Igor Akinfeev remains the best goalkeeper, and no one has come close to him.

He emphasized that he is significantly ahead of Stas Agkatsev. In the 2024/25 season, Akinfeev played a total of 30 matches across all tournaments, conceding 21 goals while managing to keep his goal closed 14 times.

At the end of the season, the Russian champion was the Krasnodar team. Following them, Zenit and CSKA teams made it into the top three.

These results clearly reflected the performance of the teams throughout the season, and the goalkeepers' performance was a significant factor.
