As previously reported, forward midfielder Maksim Glushenkov chose the number 10 for himself. He previously played under the number 67.
Additionally, two Brazilian players also swapped their numbers. Quick winger Pedro chose the number 20.
This number had been vacant in the 2020/2021 season, unused by Markus Vendl. In previous seasons, Pedro played with the number 24.
Defender Nino decided to play under the number 33. The last player to wear this number for Zenit was forward Ivan Sergeyev.
Nino had previously played under the number 27. The purpose of the players changing their numbers is to choose numbers that are more comfortable and lucky for them.
