Chelsea defeated Palmeiras and reached the semifinals

Last early morning, according to Moscow time, Chelsea faced Palmeiras at the "Lincoln Financial Field" stadium as part of the Club World Championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Estevao took the field against his future team. It was confirmed that the Brazil derby would take place in the semifinals, as the winner would earn the right to play against "Fluminense".

The final score of the match was 1:2 between Palmeiras and Chelsea, with goals scored by Ko‘l Palmer in the 16th minute, Estevao in the 53rd minute, and an own goal by Veverton Pereira in the 83rd minute. In 2021, Palmeiras won the Copa Libertadores, while Chelsea was the Champions League winner.

There were also problems in midfield. The São Paulo team frequently lost the ball in the center, allowing Chelsea new attacking opportunities.

In the 16th minute, Palmer received a pass from Chalo'ba and made a precise shot from outside the penalty area into the bottom left corner. While celebrating the goal, Ko‘l made a distinctive gesture by clasping his hands to his chest.

After a corner kick, Kukurelya shot from close range, but Veverton saved the ball. Nkunku received a pass from Enzo Fernandes and shot towards the goal, but the ball fell into the goalkeeper's hands.

Palmer passed to Nkunku, but his shot went over the top right corner. At the end of the first half, Palmeiras became more active, but Estevao and Viktor Roque were not noticeable.

Vanderlan headed a shot from Giyan's pass, but the ball remained in goalkeeper Sanches' hands. At the end of the half, Delap was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a foul in the center and will miss the semifinals.

At the beginning of the second half, Palmeiras applied pressure and attempted to score. Estevao did not capitalize on an opportunity provided by a teammate, but in another situation, he deceived Kolvill and accurately sent a shot from the right half of the defense.

The ball rebounded off the crossbar and went in, equalizing the score. Joao Pedro came on for Chelsea, while Paulinho, the hero of the round of 16 for Palmeiras, entered the field.

Paulinho had a chance to equalize, but he could not direct his shot into the bottom corner. Chelsea held on to their victory and advanced to the semifinals.

In this match, Delap and Kolvill will not participate due to disqualification. During extra time, Veverton saved Palmeiras from two threatening shots.
