Giorgi Sheliya, the goalkeeper of the "Akhmat" football club in Grozny, announced that the "Tambov" club, which faced financial difficulties four years ago, still owes him a large amount of money. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the club has not paid salaries and bonuses for five to six months. This is a significant amount for him, and Sheliya mentioned in an interview with "Match TV" that he heard that some players received partial payments.
He emphasized that he would be very happy if this debt is fully repaid to him in the future. The footballer believes that to prevent such situations from happening again, clubs should provide certain guarantees in advance.
The Russian Football Union should monitor the fulfillment of these guarantees. In the last season, a similar problem also arose at the "Khimki" club near Moscow along with the "Tambov" club.
These situations once again highlight the importance of financial stability and reliability in the football sector. It is necessary to develop clear mechanisms to regulate financial issues between clubs and football organizations.
This will ensure that players receive their wages on time and in full. This, in turn, will positively impact the development of the sport and the reputation of football.
