Ugarov did not approve of Salasar's move to Zenit

Denis Ugarov, a former midfielder who played for St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, expressed his opinion about the possibility of Rodrigo Salasar transferring to the club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The 25-year-old Uruguayan Salasar currently plays for Portugal's "Braga" team. He can play as a central midfielder and a right-wing forward.

Last winter, he participated in training sessions with "Zenit" players, but the transfer did not happen. According to Ugarov, there is no need to acquire such players excessively.

He believes that acquiring two or three good players is sufficient and emphasizes the need to give opportunities to young players. In his opinion, it is illogical to acquire every player consecutively.

Last season, Salasar played a total of 30 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 9 assists. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his market value at 18 million euros.
