Ukrainian national team goalkeeper Andrey Lunin faced criticism due to a single word spoken in Russian in his homeland. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
If the legionnaires of the "Real" team used the term "semi-final" in their native languages, Lunin used the Russian form of the word. Famous sports commentator Dmitriy Guberniev responded to the criticism of Lunin.
According to him, half of the people in Ukraine speak Russian. Russian-speaking individuals are criticizing the goalkeeper for speaking in Russian.
He emphasized that this situation is interesting and strange. Guberniev believes that the Russian language is a connecting language for "Real" players and the whole world.
The current contract between Andrey Lunin and "Real" is set to last until the middle of 2030. He has played 62 matches for the Madrid team, conceding 70 goals.
Next Wednesday evening, "Real" will play against the "PSG" team in the World Club Championship. The match will be available for viewing in text format.
