Russian football agent Dmitriy Selyuk expressed his thoughts on Spartak's midfielder Ezequiel Barko and the club's transfer policy in an interview with the publication "Evro-Futbol.Ru". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He spoke about the ultimatum set by Barko's wife recently, emphasizing that the likelihood of the player leaving the club is high. He mentioned that many footballers are influenced by their families, especially trying to fulfill their wives' wishes.
Selyuk noted that it is not correct to call Barko the main leader or star of Spartak, stating that such titles are only reserved for unique players like Messi or Ronaldo. He assessed Barko as a good player, highlighting that he can further develop and play in a good European club.
If Barko leaves the club, he mentioned the necessity of selling existing players before buying a new one. There are several players in Spartak, and it is difficult to call them championship-level players yet.
He emphasized the need to maintain a balance between quality and price in transfers, avoiding unnecessary expenses. For the next season, teams like Spartak, Zenit, Krasnodar, Dinamo, CSKA, and Lokomotiv should aim to secure a place among the top three in the championship.
To achieve this result, the team leaders, especially the coach and the sports director, must have strict requirements. If the team does not make it to the top three, one can only remain in the team by winning the Russian Cup.
Selyuk criticized the transfer policies of clubs in the Russian Premier League. Many leaders are unable to manage their financial budgets properly and only know how to spend.
For example, the Baltika club is buying cheap players but showing weak results in friendly matches. He noted that new players are always being bought, but players are rarely sold.
This creates problems in ensuring the financial stability of the clubs.
