Tarkhanov: Samoshnikov should not move to Spartak

Former "Spartak" team head coach Alexander Tarkhanov commented on the possibility of "Lokomotiv" defender Ilya Samoshnikov moving to the "red-white" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Tarkhanov expressed his admiration for Samoshnikov's game but emphasized that it would not be right for him to move from "Lokomotiv" to "Spartak." Currently, the player is regularly playing in the starting lineup, and the team trusts him, which is very important.

It is unclear whether moving to another team would guarantee playing time. Tarkhanov stated that one should not seek better from good.

He also noted that "Lokomotiv" is a big team and that it is not advisable for Samoshnikov to change teams at this time. Last season, the 27-year-old player appeared in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing four assists.
