The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, provided important information about the controversy surrounding "Torpedo" on her Telegram channel. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It has been revealed that the disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union disqualified the "Torpedo" team from the Russian Premier League due to attempts to organize fixed matches in the spring months. As a result of the investigation, it was found that referee Bogdan Golovko received 1.5 million rubles during the match between "Torpedo" and "Kamaz."
The money was delivered to the Moscow club's leaders by an intermediary. During searches conducted at the homes of Golovko and the intermediary, communication devices and other items important for work were confiscated.
The referee was placed under house arrest, while the intermediary was given a guarantee of unrestricted movement. The investigation committee is currently continuing its work.
Additionally, the disciplinary committee reviewed the cases of three spring matches of "Torpedo" and disqualified the club. Earlier, detention measures were applied to club leaders Valeriy Skorodumov and Leonid Sobolev, who were respectively banned from football activities for 10 and 5 years.
These processes are being carried out to ensure justice in the field of football.
