Ponomaryov: The Russian championship would be interesting without legionnaires

In his opinion, if the championship were held only with Russian players, the competition would be fairer and more equal. In this case, the "Zenit" team would not dominate the championship.

Last season, the Russian champion was the "Krasnodar" team. They stopped the consecutive six championship series of St. Petersburg's "Zenit".

"Zenit" had won the championship for six seasons. The new season of the Russian Premier League will start on July 18, Friday.
