Manfred Ugalde may leave the Spartak club this summer, so the club is working to strengthen its attacking line. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In recent weeks, there have been reports that the focus of the red-and-white team has been on striker Jose Manuel Lopes. According to the Metaratings source, Spartak may give up on the 24-year-old Lopes.
The main reason for this is his high transfer price. Brazil's Palmeiras club is asking for 16-18 million euros for the player and is currently not ready to negotiate.
For this reason, Spartak is also exploring other players at a lower price. If there is no possibility to lower Lopes' price during negotiations, the Moscow team will turn to other candidates.
In the first round of the Russian championship, Spartak will host the Dynamo team from Makhachkala on July 19. This match will be the team's first official encounter of the season.
The club is preparing strongly for the new season and considers strengthening the attacking line a priority task.
