Brazilian midfielder Mateus Alves answered the question about choosing his playing number at the Moscow club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Alves, when he arrived at CSKA, he wanted to take the seventh or tenth number. However, the tenth number was already taken, as Ivan Oblyakov has been performing well with it.
The ninth number became available, but it was taken by Alerrandro, who previously wore the seventh number. Thus, Alves announced that he had secured the seventh number.
The 20-year-old Brazilian player signed a contract with the "red-blues" until 2030. In 2025, Alves participated in 25 matches with the "San-Paulo" team, scoring four times and providing five assists.
