Former CSKA Moscow player Valeriy Masalitin commented on Leonid Slutskiy's signing of a new contract with the Shanghai Shenhua club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, it would be illogical for Slutskiy to extend his contract if he felt uncomfortable at the club. Slutskiy is considered one of the sought-after coaches in China.
He would like to return to a good local project, but so far there are no such offers. Slutskiy is spending his second season in China.
Last season, under his management, Shenhua finished second in the national championship, only behind Shanghai Port. Additionally, Slutskiy has won the Chinese Super Cup for two consecutive years.
