Former midfielder Vladislav Radimov expressed critical opinions about the Moscow "Spartak" club's prospects in the upcoming Russian Premier League season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the expert, the capital team still has many unresolved issues. In particular, they left a bad impression due to their slow performance in the match against "Samara."
Radimov emphasized that it will be necessary to defeat such opponents during the season, but the problematic positions are not being strengthened. For this reason, he placed "Spartak" in sixth place among the main contenders for the championship.
The former player also assessed the "red-white" team's transfer policy as weak and unclear. He considers it incomprehensible to let Shamar Nicholson go for free and to acquire 34-year-old Anton Zabolotniy also for free.
Radimov pointed out that at least three important positions need to be filled in the team's defense line. In the first round of the new season, "Spartak" will host the Mahachkala "Dinamo" team at home.
This match will be an important test for the team's performance in the new season.
