Piero Auzilio, the sports director of Milan's "Inter" football club, believes that the team will achieve success under the new head coach Cristian Kivu. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Romanian specialist was appointed to the position at the beginning of summer, taking over from the previous coach Simone Inzaghi, who moved to the "Al-Hilal" club. Under the new coach, the team did not perform very successfully in the World Club Championship and lost to "Fluminense" in the Round of 16.
Auzilio emphasized in an interview with Sky Sport that the coach now has the opportunity to prepare the team well. He also stated that he is taking the concerns raised in the media with humor.
According to him, the core players of the team are staying, and contracts have been signed with five new players. He mentioned that he understands journalists' opinions that the "Inter" team should compete in the top four of the championship.
Last season, "Inter" finished second in Serie A and reached the Champions League final.
