The sports director of Milan's "Inter" team, Piero Auzilio, provided information about the negotiations with "Galatasaray" regarding midfielder Hakan Chalhanoglu. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Since June, there have been constant rumors in the media about the player's potential move to Turkey. It was even reported that there was an agreement on the terms of the contract between the 31-year-old Chalhanoglu and "Galatasaray".
Piero Auzilio said through journalist Fabrizio Romano: "We negotiated with "Galatasaray", but it became clear during the discussions that there was no possibility of reaching an agreement. They tried to get him to sign a contract – that’s where everything ended.
We have no issues with Hakan." It should be noted that "Inter" president Giuseppe Marotta had stated that Hakan Chalhanoglu could be sold as he does not wish to continue playing for the team after the club's exit from the World Club Championship.
