Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Pro design
As technology advances, even simple devices in our daily lives are becoming enriched with smart features. Now, an air conditioner is not just a device that cools or heats the air. It now “senses” the presence of a person, tracks their movement, and even adjusts its operation to the user. A bright example of such advanced solutions is Xiaomi's new Mijia Air Conditioner Pro model.
A system that changes the air direction based on a person's location

The most notable innovation of the device is the mmWave radar technology, which allows it to determine where a person is standing in the room and direct the airflow precisely in that direction. If the user wants to feel the air directly — the flow turns towards them; if, on the contrary, they do not want the air blowing on them — the air conditioner automatically changes its direction. This maximizes individual comfort levels.
Turns off when no one is present — serves energy saving
Another important advantage of the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro is its ability to use energy wisely. If the radars detect that the room is empty, the air conditioner automatically switches to eco-mode and reduces electricity consumption. When the user returns — it starts working actively again and restores the desired temperature.

This process is carried out through the Lingyun artificial intelligence program. All detection and calculation tasks operate online with the help of “cloud” services — that is, via the internet. According to Xiaomi, this system can save 361 kWh of electricity per year, which translates to an economic benefit of about 3000 rubles or approximately 350 dollars.
Technically modern: powerful, soft, and antibacterial
The new air conditioner is not only smart but also meets modern requirements with its technical specifications:
- Two-cylinder inverter compressor — high efficiency and fast cooling;
- Layered condenser and evaporator — powerful heat exchange;
- Wide temperature range (−35°C — +65°C) — suitable for almost any climate condition;
- 1.5 horsepower power — ideal for an average-sized room;
- 18 dB noise level — almost inaudible;
- Auto cleaning (56°C) — cleans from bacteria using steam;
- Antibacterial filter — eliminates 99% of harmful elements in the air.
Controlling the device is convenient: via a traditional remote, the Mi Home app, or voice commands — adapted to smart home systems.
Price and availability
The Mijia Air Conditioner Pro is currently only available on the Chinese market. Its price is 3999 yuan, which is around 600–700 dollars. However, according to Xiaomi's global strategy, such innovative technologies are expected to appear in other countries soon.
