The Windows 11 update caused some computers to malfunction

Microsoft has officially confirmed that the latest software update for the Windows 11 operating system is causing malfunctions on some computers, Zamin.uz reported.
According to specialists, the main issue with installing update KB5089549 is related to insufficient free space in the system boot partition. This situation is negatively affecting the workflow of many users.
As stated in official information, if the computer's memory has less than ten megabytes of free space in the system boot partition, the installation process stops. In such a case, the system displays a special error code during reboot and automatically rolls back all made changes.
As a result, the user receives a notification that the update failed to install, and the system reverts to its previous state. Microsoft engineers are suggesting a temporary workaround to resolve this technical issue.
To do this, users need to perform a specific action via the command line. By modifying the corresponding value in the system registry, it is possible to bypass the restriction related to space in the boot partition.
After performing this action, it is recommended to restart the computer and reinstall the update. For system administrators of large companies and organizations, the possibility of resolving the issue on a large scale has been created.
They can fix the malfunction remotely using group policy tools. At the same time, some users on social media are complaining that after this update, their internet speed has noticeably decreased.
However, the software developer has not yet officially acknowledged any issues related to connection speed, and additional checks are expected to be carried out in the near future.
