A Pakistan cargo plane with a crew of five has disappeared from radar

In Pokiston, a Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft belonging to K2 Airways lost contact while flying from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Karachi, according to Ground.uz.
It is known that there were five crew members on board the aircraft. According to preliminary information, the plane disappeared from radar while flying over the Arabian Sea in the western part of Karachi.
Just before the complete loss of contact, the aircraft’s pilot reported serious problems with the navigation system to ground services. Officials from Pakistan’s airport administration stated that radar data showed the aircraft had suddenly lost altitude and changed its flight path unexpectedly.
After that, contact with the crew was lost. The Flightradar24 service, which monitors flight conditions, also suggested that the initial data received could indicate a possible aviation incident.
However, as of now, there are no official confirmations regarding the aircraft’s crash. Meanwhile, special units from Pakistan’s military navy and air force have been deployed to the area where the incident may have occurred.
In the search and rescue operation, the PNS Zulfiqar warship, a Saab 2000 Erieye aircraft equipped with long-range radar surveillance, and a Lahore-based vessel used for commercial purposes are participating. Specialists are combing the sea area visually.
For reference, this Boeing 737-400 was previously used for passenger transport but was converted and re-equipped for cargo operations in 2012. The largest aviation tragedy in Pakistan’s history occurred in 2020, when a passenger plane crashed during landing at Karachi airport, killing 97 of the 99 people on board.
Currently, all relevant authorities are working to determine the fate of the missing cargo aircraft.
