Vercel leadership begins applying artificial intelligence to production

Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch shared his thoughts on the evolution of artificial intelligence technologies and the key challenges currently emerging in this field, as reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the experimental phase is over, and companies are now moving into the stage of serious application of AI in practice, especially in production processes.
Currently, via the Vercel platform, nearly six million system deployments occur daily, half of which are managed by independent software developers writing code.
Rauch highlighted two main directions of AI tools. The first is coding assistants that help developers, which are significantly increasing global computing power and data consumption.
The second is internal systems that help manage corporate processes. However, in this area, data security and controlling access to information remain one of the most pressing issues.
To address these challenges, Vercel proposes a protected environment system. A protected environment is a method that allows placing an AI tool within a strictly limited domain.
This way, the system can demonstrate its capabilities, but access to which data it can use and what information it can output externally is strictly regulated by clear rules. As Rauch noted, this is especially important for large corporations.
For example, large industrial companies often have decades-old proprietary codebases, and a misconfigured AI tool risks sending that data to external servers for training.
Regarding internal corporate systems, they can significantly boost employee productivity. For instance, sales specialists can now instantly ask AI which customer base is growing fastest, instead of waiting for lengthy analytical reports.
This saves time on data analysis and speeds up decision-making.
Additionally, Vercel’s CEO touched on the concept of software templates. This system allows formulating requirements and skills in simple language.
This opens the door for non-developer employees to safely use modern technologies.
In conclusion, AI is no longer just an interesting experiment — it is becoming an inseparable part of business.
In the Uzbek market, local developers and startup projects are already actively using such platforms. In the future, these technologies are expected to further simplify workflows and elevate security to a new level.
