In September, nearly 28 thousand parents were congratulated
In Uzbekistan, congratulatory payments were made in September for newborn babies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the National Agency for Social Protection, during this month, a one-time congratulatory payment was given to over 28,000 citizens on the occasion of the birth of a child. Overall, in September, benefit payments totaling 47.9 billion soms were made for 40,600 citizens.
Of this amount, 25.6 billion soms were given as congratulatory payments to 28,784 parents. Additionally, 22.3 billion soms in benefits were paid to 11,827 citizens for the burial of their relatives.
To receive the congratulatory benefit, the parents can apply to any branch of “Xalq Bank” with identity documents within six months after the child’s birth or submit an application online through the “Khazna” mobile app. Burial benefits are paid in the same manner.
Citizens receive the money based on the death certificate issued by the Civil Registry Office. If the applicant does not have the right, is declared legally incapacitated by the court, or if the application is submitted more than 60 days after the death was registered, the payment will not be made.
Currently, the amount of the congratulatory benefit is 893,513 soms, and the burial benefit is 1,884,000 soms. Previously, reports circulated on social media claiming that congratulatory payments were being made for less than the established amount, but the National Agency denied these claims and confirmed that payments are being made on time according to the established procedure.
