The international hotel chain Radisson Hotel Group and MANAR Development company have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding plans to open a new hotel in the center of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This hotel will be part of a multifunctional complex called Chorsu MANAR. This complex is being built in the area where the “Chorsu” hotel was previously located and involves large-scale urban redevelopment.
With a total area of over 100,000 square meters, this area is planned to include hotel rooms, offices, residential apartments, shopping, and entertainment centers. The project is expected to attract investments exceeding 100 million dollars.
According to MANAR Development CEO Davron Fayzimatov, the company has held negotiations with several international hotel operators. The Radisson brand was chosen due to the balance between service quality and price.
Fayzimatov emphasized that the hotel under the Radisson brand will be a key component of the Chorsu MANAR complex, making it a notable object on an international scale. Additionally, the complex will serve as a new symbolic architectural ensemble for the city, offering a high level of service and advanced infrastructure.
The new hotel will be located in the main building of the complex, occupying 14 floors. It will feature a separate entrance for guests, a two-level parking garage, and infrastructure meeting the requirements of a four-star hotel.
David Jenkins, Vice President of Business Development at Radisson Hotel Group, stated that the company has been interested in this area for many years. The Chorsu MANAR project fully meets the company’s criteria in terms of scale and potential.
It is noted that the original building of the “Chorsu” hotel was constructed in 1982 and was initially known as “Moscow.” The 23-story building was once one of the symbolic landmarks of Tashkent’s architecture.
However, in the 2000s, the building was closed for reconstruction, and restoration work was not carried out. The new project aims to transform this area into a modern complex.
