
On December 30, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the conversation, the two heads of state exchanged views on bilateral relations and the international situation. At the beginning of the dialogue, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev strongly condemned the attempted attack on the Russian leader’s residence.
He emphasized that such actions seriously harm regional stability and security, as well as threaten efforts to achieve long-term peace. The meeting discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The necessity of implementing high-level agreements and advancing cooperation to a new stage was noted. At the same time, the parties exchanged views on pressing issues of international and regional importance, as well as plans for upcoming joint events.
At the end of the conversation, the two state leaders congratulated each other on the approaching year 2026, wishing each other strong health, happiness, and prosperity. They also expressed wishes for peace, a calm life, and sustainable development for the peoples of Uzbekistan and Russia.
