The visa-free travel period between Uzbekistan and China is starting: what do we need to know?
The necessary internal processes have been completed for the entry into force of the intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa exemption between Uzbekistan and China, which has historical significance. This was officially announced by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the requirements of this important document, the visa-free regime between Uzbekistan and China will come into effect starting from June 1 of this year. This indicates that the relations between the two countries have reached a new level and will further promote the development of tourism and the business environment.

According to the main conditions of the agreement, citizens of Uzbekistan and China will be able to travel to each other's territories without a visa, as well as have the opportunity for transit movement. However, there are some time limitations for this. In particular, the total duration of each trip should not exceed 30 days, and the total stay in the territories of both countries within any 180-day period should not exceed 90 days.

If citizens wish to stay longer than this period, they must obtain the appropriate entry visa in advance.

It should also be noted that the visa-free regime applies only to tourist, personal, or short-term business trips. Citizens wishing to engage in labor activities, education, media activities, or other types of activities that require prior permission from the relevant state authorities are not covered by this visa-free regime. In such cases, obtaining the relevant visas and permits is required.

Additionally, it should be taken into account that the visa-free regime mentioned in this document does not apply to the special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China, namely Hong Kong and Macau.

This agreement is expected to further increase tourist flows between the two countries, strengthen friendly relations between our peoples, and elevate trade, economic, and cultural cooperation to a new level.

The editorial team of Zamin.uz believes that the entry into force of this agreement will create conveniences for the populations of both countries and lead to a significant increase in mutual visits. This will further strengthen trust and solidarity between the peoples.
