Uzbekistan has entered the ranking of the cheapest countries in the world
The Numbeo portal, which provides comprehensive information about cities and countries around the world, has announced the global cost of living ranking for 2025. This ranking reflects how expensive it is to live in 139 countries around the world, with Uzbekistan being listed among the cheapest countries.

Experts analyzed the prices of essential goods and services for daily life in various countries to compile the ranking. Factors such as rent, utility costs, transportation expenses, restaurant and food prices, and the purchasing power of the population were taken into account. The cost of living in each country was assessed in comparison to the living standards of New York City.

According to the ranking results, Uzbekistan scored 24.2 points, ranking 127th among 139 countries and was included in the list of countries where living is the cheapest in the world. This indicates that the cost of living for the population of Uzbekistan is significantly lower compared to other countries.

Neighboring countries also secured their positions in this ranking. For example, Russia ranked 132nd among countries with low living costs, while Belarus was 123rd, Kyrgyzstan 121st, Kazakhstan 114th, and Armenia was recorded at 63rd. However, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were not included in this ranking for various reasons.

The most expensive countries to live in, according to the ranking, include the US Virgin Islands, Switzerland, Iceland, the Bahamas, and Singapore, while the cheapest countries are Afghanistan, India, Egypt, Libya, and Pakistan.

The results of this ranking confirm that living in Uzbekistan is affordable, which may further enhance the opportunities for attracting foreign tourists and investors to the country. At the same time, the importance of continuing efforts to increase the income and purchasing power of the population is also acknowledged.

International rankings have always been one of the important indicators of the well-being of the population and the development of the state. The results of this ranking once again demonstrate Uzbekistan's international standing in this regard.
