The chairman who died after the meeting in Furqat is still under discussion
The recent incident in the Furqat district of Fergana region has sparked serious discussions and various doubts among the public. Sharifjon Abdullayev, the chairman of the Kaldushon neighborhood, suddenly felt unwell after leaving a meeting at the district administration and passed away in the hospital. This situation has troubled many hearts, and various speculations and conflicting opinions have emerged on social networks.

At the center of the discussion is a meeting held in a critical spirit by the district governor Elyor Asronqulov. According to official statements, all neighborhood citizens' assembly chairpersons participated in the meeting held on June 18, 2025, and were given specific tasks to fulfill. Although it was stated that critical remarks were made during the meeting, the press service of the governor's office reported that no insulting or personal remarks were used.

During this meeting, Sharifjon Abdullayev expressed that he had health issues and intended to resign, then left the meeting. Outside in the yard, he felt unwell, and an ambulance was called. However, despite all efforts by the medical unit, he passed away in the hospital.

This incident had a significant impact on the public. Reports circulating on various social platforms claimed that the district governor had acted harshly during the meeting, and that the chairman's final decision and health issues were a result of this pressure. Some internet users even attempted to directly link the chairman's death to the governor. Meanwhile, officials have sharply rejected these claims.

The Furqat district administration issued an official statement regarding this sensational incident. It emphasized that there was no rough treatment or insults during the meeting. On the contrary, the importance of the tasks facing the citizens' assembly chairpersons was reiterated, and they were reminded of their responsibility to fulfill them. Abdullayev had indicated his intention to resign due to health reasons.

Additionally, the district medical unit also provided a statement regarding this situation. They reported that the patient was brought to the hospital via emergency medical assistance but lost his life due to a serious cardiovascular disease.

It is worth noting that Sharifjon Abdullayev was one of the respected and experienced chairpersons in the neighborhood. Throughout his tenure, it has been repeatedly emphasized that he implemented several social projects in the neighborhood and was attentive to the problems of the residents.

Currently, there is no information regarding an official investigation into his death. However, public opinion demands clarity on such situations. Because incidents like this are related not only to an individual's fate but also to trust and the environment within the entire society.

It is clear that neighborhood chairpersons play a crucial role as a bridge between the population and the authorities. Recognizing their value and not neglecting their mental and physical well-being should be one of the important directions of state policy. Regardless of how necessary critical meetings may be, they should be conducted based on humanitarian principles.

This incident in the Furqat district has become a pressing issue not only locally but also at the national level. The establishment of a special commission and the issuance of clear and impartial conclusions are among the main demands of the public.
