According to the reliable sources cited by the Reuters news agency, the administration led by former President Donald Trump is focusing on creating a national security system capable of detecting and destroying next-generation missiles.

Initially, the project was planned to be implemented technically and practically by SpaceX, led by Elon Musk. However, due to the recent cooling of relations between Musk and Trump, the White House has been forced to look for new partners.

In this regard, the Department of Defense has started negotiations with Amazon's Project Kuiper and major military contractors in the US. These measures indicate that the 'Iron Dome' project will not be dependent on a single company, but aims to create an effective defense system using multiple sources.

The allocated budget of $175 billion for the project presents a significant opportunity for many companies. At the same time, according to Reuters sources, SpaceX is still considered one of the main candidates for launch and transport logistics.

The company's recent successes, particularly with Starlink and Falcon rockets, make it technically competitive. Experts believe that the 'Iron Dome' project could not only enhance US defense capabilities but also impact the balance of power in global space.
