Mobile phone use banned in schools in Belgium
Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices will be banned in all primary and secondary schools in Belgium. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This decision was made to increase the efficiency of the learning process across the country, to focus students' attention solely on studying, and to reduce the time spent in front of screens. According to information published in national mass media, this ban will be implemented in various forms by the country's three linguistic communities, but it will apply uniformly in all regions.

Thus, primary and secondary school students will not be allowed to use mobile phones, tablets, or other personal electronic devices during lessons. Education experts emphasize that this change will help develop students' social skills, increase attention in the classroom, and reduce distractions coming from online social networks.

At the same time, parents are advised to hand over devices to special storage areas at school if it is necessary to bring them. Experts also highlight that this decision will teach children to use technology responsibly, manage their time properly, and organize the learning process more effectively.

The ban on mobile phones in schools in Belgium is expected to come into effect from the 2025–2026 academic year and is regarded as an important innovation in the country's education system.
