According to the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Russia plans to end the war in Ukraine by 2026. If this deadline is not met, Russia may not be able to compete with geopolitical and economic giants like the USA and China. This was stated by GUR Deputy Chief Vadim Skibitskiy.

Skibitskiy emphasized that Russia has forecasted 15 potential military conflict scenarios that could occur by 2045. Six of them are directly related to Northern Europe. It was also reported that four types of potential military confrontation with Poland have been developed.
According to a GUR representative, a geopolitical forecast for Russia has been developed for the years 2026-2035, analyzing its consequences up to 2045. These documents state that the "Ukrainian issue" must be resolved by 2026. If the war continues for another 5-10 years, Russia's international standing and economic growth may be seriously at risk.
Potential war scenarios for Russia in Europe and Asia
According to NATO sources, Russia has prepared plans to attack Finland and other countries on NATO's eastern flank. In this scenario, several units of the Russian army could operate simultaneously. There is a possibility that tens of thousands of soldiers could participate in the attack.
According to the Financial Times, Russia has developed potential war scenarios regarding Japan and South Korea. These plans foresee strikes on military and civilian infrastructure objects. According to classified documents from 2008-2014, Russia planned to strike with X-101 missiles and test the air defense capabilities of these countries.
