The Lay's brand is undergoing the biggest update in its nearly century-long history. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to PepsiCo, a complete rebranding and recipe update is being carried out for Lay's. PepsiCo's chief design officer Karl Gerhard emphasized that this update reflects the love and loyalty towards the brand.
Through the new design, the team aims to showcase Lay's globally famous taste in a modern style. Lay's now intends to highlight that at the heart of every chip lies real potatoes and human effort.
The company plans to abandon artificial flavors and colors, offering consumers healthy and diverse products. Lay's Baked and Lay's Kettle Cooked varieties will also be produced based on the new recipe.
For example, baked chips are now prepared in olive oil and contain 50% less fat compared to regular chips. The new Lay's flavored with sea salt uses avocado oil and has 40% less fat.
Although there are over 4,000 potato varieties worldwide, Lay's considers only 10 of them suitable for production. The company spends up to 9 years working with farmers to cultivate the highest quality potatoes.
This indicates a special focus on product quality.
