Today, October 13, the world's attention was focused on the city of Sharm ash-Shaykh in Egypt. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A peace summit aimed at ending the conflict that has lasted for over a year in the Gaza Strip is being held here. According to diplomatic sources, an important document is expected to be signed within the framework of the summit to put an end to the conflict.
To ensure the agreement and guarantee its implementation, the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey are participating as key countries. More than 20 heads of state are planned to attend the summit.
The event is accompanied by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the President of the United States. The main goal of the agreement is to restore the peace process in Gaza, release hostages, and significantly increase the volume of humanitarian aid.
This aims to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the region and ensure long-term stability. Additionally, the Israeli government announced that it will begin the process of releasing hostages based on an agreement with Hamas.
According to official representative Shosh Bedrosian, the remaining 20 hostages will be handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross and delivered via a special convoy. The Israeli government representative emphasized that Palestinian prisoners will be released once the agreement is implemented.
Diplomatic sources consider this document the greatest political and humanitarian achievement since the Gaza conflict began. If the agreement is fully implemented, it will not only be an important step towards peace in the region but also mark the beginning of a new era in the political balance of the Middle East.
International experts also cautiously evaluate this initiative positively, emphasizing that the practical results of the agreement will become clear in the coming weeks.
