Reports are spreading about new methods of conscripting labor migrants into military service in some regions of Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, in the city of Rostov, attempts have been observed to make some migrants sign documents expressing consent to military service during the patent registration process. According to a compatriot who contacted the Kun.uz publication, when he applied to renew his patent, among the documents there were also papers related to conscription.
He was required to confirm that he was familiar with the procedure for concluding a contract with the Russian Armed Forces. When the citizen refused this demand, he was pressured and threatened with denial of registration.
Such cases indicate illegal practices aimed at violating the rights of migrants. Unfortunately, many migrants sign documents without carefully reading them or without sufficient knowledge of the Russian language.
As a result, they may unknowingly find themselves having consented to military service. It should be emphasized that such pressure by migration centers has no legal basis.
Documents related to military service are not part of the patent acquisition process. Our compatriots are advised to carefully read every document, avoid making hasty decisions, and in such cases, contact law enforcement agencies or the Consulate.
Protecting your rights and resisting illegal pressure is important.
