Lost 11 healthy teeth due to cheap service

Dentists in Genoa, Italy, were held accountable by the court for unjustifiably removing a patient's healthy teeth. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The case was covered by the publication “Corriere della Sera” and sparked widespread discussions on social media. This incident once again reminded of the dangerous consequences of seeking cheap services.
It turned out that a 55-year-old woman found doctors offering cheap dental services online and contacted them. The dentists convinced the patient that the procedure could be completed quickly, but an important step — an X-ray examination — was not conducted.
One of the doctors frightened the patient by saying that if treatment was not done, she could lose all her teeth. As a result, 11 of the woman's healthy teeth were removed in just four hours.
Three days later, dentures were installed, but they turned out to be different from what was promised. Later, it became known that the dentures were temporary.
This situation seriously affected the woman's quality of life: she experienced difficulties speaking and eating, and these problems also disrupted her personal life. The woman was forced to break up with her boyfriend and, although she later consulted another dentist, problems with proper chewing persisted.
According to the court decision, one of the dentists who improperly removed the patient's teeth was sentenced to three months in prison, and the other to one year and five months. In addition, the victim was awarded compensation of 14,300 euros.
This incident once again demonstrated how important it is to be cautious when choosing a dentist and to seek professional services.
