Ukraine and Moldova exposed a criminal group under Russian control

Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and Moldova have dismantled a criminal group controlled by Russian special services that aimed to eliminate prominent figures. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, members of this group planned to receive rewards of up to 100,000 US dollars for "contract" killings. The group members posed as couriers and operated disguised as tourists.
A total of 10 suspects have been detained in Ukraine and Moldova. Among them is the group's leader, a 34-year-old Moldovan citizen who previously served a prison sentence in Russia.
The criminals identified the victims' residences and vacation spots using Google Maps and regularly reported to their handlers in Russia. During the rapid operations, more than 20 searches were conducted, resulting in the seizure of numerous weapons, explosives, and communication devices.
It has been revealed that the group's main targets included well-known journalist Dmitry Gordon, Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, heads of strategic state enterprises, and soldiers of the "Foreign Legion." The intended purpose of these assassination attempts was to instill fear and panic among the public, provoke social unrest, and cause disorder within the country.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects under serious charges, and investigations are ongoing. In such situations, the vigilance of ordinary citizens and cooperation with security agencies are of great importance.
