
On May 11, Sunday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a missile strike on the city of Rylsk located in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the acting governor of Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, via his Telegram channel.
As a result of the attack, according to preliminary information, three people were injured. They were promptly taken to a local hospital. Khinshtein noted that two men sustained serious injuries to their heads and arms, and their condition is assessed as very serious. These patients are planned to be transferred to a central hospital in the Kursk region for specialized care soon.
Additionally, another woman was also injured in the missile strike. She sustained injuries to her wrist and thigh, and according to doctors, this patient's life is not in danger and her condition is assessed as relatively stable.
According to reports, the hotel building located at the entrance of the city also suffered significant damage as a result of the missile attack. The first floor housed a car wash, while the second floor contained hotel rooms. Due to the explosion, the hotel buildings were significantly destroyed.
As a result of the attack, two private residential houses and five cars were also damaged. It was noted that three of the cars were rendered almost unusable. Currently, rescue and recovery operations are underway in the city area.
Moreover, the regional authorities emphasized that additional measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the population, and the situation is fully under control.
At the same time, the Russian government is conducting an investigation into this incident and all circumstances related to the attack are being clarified. Security measures in the region are being intensified.
