Prices are high in Dubai but it is not enjoyable

I visited the Emirates for the first time twelve years ago. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Back then, we rented a car and traveled across the country from start to finish: from wealthy Abu Dhabi to the friendly Fujairah. Especially interesting were places with fewer tourists, the camel market, small villages, and streets showing real life.
That trip gave me spiritual wealth. Recently, when I was flying to Sharm El-Sheikh, my transit time extended to 19 hours, and I decided to stay in Dubai for three days.
It was interesting to observe how much the city had changed, but an unexpected conclusion emerged: in nearly ten years, I did not feel the desire to return there. One of the reasons is that prices in Dubai are expensive, but it does not bring pleasure.
Ticket prices for the aquarium and other places are high, but the experience is average. Also, there are crowds everywhere: metro, shopping centers, beaches — many people everywhere.
The heat and sandstorms make the climate even more complicated. Restaurant prices are like a lottery: cheap in one place, unexpectedly expensive in another.
Dubai often has beautiful and shiny places, but they are often full of showiness and dry pomp. It is also difficult to feel the Arab culture and history.
The old parts of the city now resemble more of a souvenir market. The beaches also did not meet expectations.
For these reasons, I have no desire to return to Dubai.
