Iran president apologized to neighboring countries

In a televised address on state television, Iranian President Masoud Pizishkiyon made important statements about the country's security policy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He openly stated that he apologizes to neighboring countries affected by recent strikes. According to the president, leaders, commanders, and students have died as a result of "enemy attacks."
Emphasizing that Iran's armed forces have taken all measures to defend the country, he specifically noted the position towards neighbors. According to him, Iran does not intend to strike neighboring countries; on the contrary, it considers them "brothers" and wishes to work together for regional peace.
Pizishkiyon also referred to the decision adopted at the meeting of the Interim Leadership Council. According to it, until Iran is attacked by neighbors, no strikes will be made on targets in their territories, and no missiles will be launched.
Tehran does not want to expand the conflict with neighbors and stated that retaliation will only occur if the source of attacks is from neighboring countries. Pizishkiyon strongly responded to US President Donald Trump's statement that "Iran must surrender unconditionally."
He called this idea "a dream they carry to their graves." From Tehran's point of view, such demands are unrealistic and unacceptable.
Additionally, Pizishkiyon addressed the issue of armed groups in northern Iraq that the US is trying to use. He appealed to groups operating against Iran from neighboring countries, urging them not to become "weapons of imperialism" for external forces.
This televised address shows that Tehran is currently trying to maintain two paths simultaneously: on one hand—a firm political stance and resistance to external pressure; on the other hand—the desire to maintain relations with regional neighbors and avoid expanding the conflict. The main question now is how quickly and to what extent this statement will be implemented in practice.
Today's region changes faster than statements.
