Xi Jinping reaffirmed China's position on the Taiwan issue

Chinese leader Xi Jinping has once again reaffirmed his firm position on the Taiwan issue. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During a meeting with representatives of the Taiwanese opposition, the head of state specifically emphasized that the island's pursuit of independence poses a serious threat to stability and security in the region. According to him, the people living on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are actually representatives of a single nation.
Since they share a common history, a rich culture, and similar values, they should live and develop in harmony like one family. Xi Jinping noted that compatriots on both sides of the strait are Chinese, stating that peace, progress, and mutual cooperation should be the most important goal for every person.
If a family is harmonious, all sectors of society will flourish, the Chinese leader emphasized. In his view, the promotion of Taiwan's independence is the main factor undermining peace in the region.
Therefore, Beijing stated that it will by no means turn a blind eye to such attempts and is ready to take decisive measures against them. Official Beijing has long considered Taiwan an inseparable part of its territory and strictly rejects any movement aimed at the island's independence.
The political tension surrounding this issue remains under the constant attention of the international community. While the global community hopes for a peaceful resolution to the situation, such statements from the Chinese leadership once again demonstrate how complex the situation in the region is.
Undoubtedly, future processes unfolding in this territory will influence not only the region but the entire world's political map.
