Donald Trump threatened to completely shut down the energy system

US President Donald Trump has made sharp statements regarding the state of Iran. Zamin.uz reported on this.
In an interview with Fox News, he emphasized the possibility of depriving the country of electricity for a long period by striking Iran's electrical infrastructure. According to Trump, if such an attack were carried out, Iran's energy system would suffer serious damage and the state could remain without power supply for ten years.
The American leader noted that this process would cause very heavy economic and technical losses for Iran, forcing the country to rebuild its infrastructure. Additionally, the US President openly stated that strategically important objects in Iranian territory, including bridges, could also be targeted.
Currently, diplomatic relations between the two countries remain complex. It recently became known that secret negotiations took place in Islamabad between representatives of the US and Iran.
The US delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, while Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of Parliament, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi participated on behalf of Iran. At the end of the negotiations, the US side announced that Iran is not ready to abandon its nuclear weapons program and has not accepted the conditions set.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while admitting there are disagreements on some issues, expressed hope for continuing dialogue. Currently, the situation in the region remains very tense, and the risk of further escalation of political contradictions between the parties persists.
The international community is closely monitoring the development of this conflict.
