Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz for commercial ships

The Iranian government has issued an official statement deciding to restore ship movement through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information released by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this strategic maritime passage has been temporarily fully opened for commercial vessels in connection with the establishment of peace in Lebanon. The official report emphasizes that only ships traveling for commercial purposes will be allowed to pass through the strait.
Ships for military purposes will not be admitted to this area. Additionally, it is required that the ships and their cargoes are not associated with enemy states in order to be granted passage.
According to another important requirement, all ships must move along a special route designated by the Iranian side. At the same time, it was stated that the transit process must be carried out in prior coordination with the responsible Iranian services.
This decision and the opening of the strait had an immediate impact on the global oil market, and a sharp drop in oil prices was observed. According to some international sources, US President Donald Trump also viewed this step positively and expressed gratitude to Iran.
This measure is considered to be of great importance for the world economy and aimed at ensuring the stability of international trade routes.
