Trump says historic US-Iran deal is close

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a global agreement between Washington and Tehran is very close, and that key details of this historic document will soon be made public. According to the White House leader, the plan includes fully opening the Strait of Hormuz—a strategically vital chokepoint for future global trade—though he emphasized that other firm commitments remain confidential for now.
At the same time, on Saturday, Ismail Baqoy, the official spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed via state television that U.S. and Iranian positions have significantly converged over the past week. However, the Iranian diplomat cautioned that this does not yet mean full agreement has been reached on core global issues, and warned the U.S. side against issuing contradictory and provocative statements on the international stage.
Trump also expressed satisfaction on his official social media pages regarding highly productive talks held with leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and several other influential regional states within the framework of a memorandum of understanding on mutual peace. He stressed that the global peace agreement on substance.
Meanwhile, the document awaits final approval by the United States, Iran, and other named Middle Eastern countries listed in the agreement. The final details are currently under discussion and will be officially announced soon.
Additionally, the White House chief noted that he held an important phone conversation on Saturday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing the discussion as positive. Trump reiterated that any future agreement must fully and unconditionally prevent Iran from acquiring or developing nuclear weapons.
According to him, the deal will only be signed if all conditions desired by the U.S. and its allies are fully met. Otherwise, Iran risks facing severe economic and political consequences unlike any nation has endured in world history.
Ismail Baqoy, representing Tehran’s diplomacy, also confirmed that Iran has its own conditions and a 14-point plan regarding the mutual understanding. At the same time, Marco Rubio, nominee for U.S. Secretary of State, continues to advance his firm demands for ensuring security in the region.
As negotiations between the sides continue, the international community awaits the final outcome of this historic agreement with great interest.
