Erdogan overturned the decision to close Bilgi University following protests

One of the most notable events recently observed in Turkey's higher education system and social life ended with good news, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was forced to cancel his decision to close the influential private Bilgi University in Istanbul after only a few days, following widespread public protests by students and faculty.
This unexpected and historic move came after the initial decree to halt the university's activities was signed on May 21 of this year, and just three days later, on May 24, the government published a new document in the Official Gazette—Turkey's official gazette—announcing the cancellation of the closure order.
The event has been widely celebrated as a victory for civil society and student unity in the country.
