Millions of Americans protested against the Trump administration
On June 14, 2025, another major political event was recorded in the history of the United States: while tanks and soldiers were parading through the streets of Washington, millions of citizens across the country, from large metropolises to small towns with few residents, began mass protests against President Donald Trump's administration. This was widely reported by The Guardian.

The protests were extensive, organized at over 2100 locations across the country. More than 100 active groups and human rights coalitions came together to organize and coordinate these actions. Although they operated on the principle of nonviolence and renunciation of violence, law enforcement agencies in some cities were forced to use force against the demonstrators.

This week, President Trump attempted to stop the protesters opposing his strict deportation policy by sending the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles. As a result, large-scale protests took place across the country on Saturday. They were also observed near Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

The scale of the protests was significant: over 200,000 people gathered in New York, and more than 100,000 in Philadelphia. Notably, in the small town of Pentwater in Michigan, 400 out of 800 residents participated in the protest, clearly reflecting the overall mood and level of activism in the country.

While these actions were mostly peaceful, in some cities—particularly Los Angeles and Portland—the police deemed them illegal and used tear gas. In Virginia, several people were injured when a man drove a car into a crowd. In San Francisco, a driver hit at least four protesters. Fortunately, they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The protesters included people of various ages and professions. Thousands gathered at the main protest in Minnesota. They peacefully expressed their dissatisfaction with government policy by holding signs against the president and various banners. Notably, U.S. Army veteran Kris Yeazel participated in this protest, sharply condemning Trump's deployment of troops to Los Angeles.

Overall, these protests opened a new chapter in America's political landscape. Millions of Americans openly demonstrated their dissatisfaction with government policy, calling for unity in the name of democracy and peace. These events were closely watched not only within the country but also around the world.
