“Humanitarian aid and energy assistance have also been suspended. Additionally, at the end of January, military aid was temporarily halted, but everything was quickly restored then. We anticipated the risks and developed action algorithms.”
“Now it is not 2022. Our stability is higher now. We have protective means.”
Zelensky noted the importance of maintaining normal partnership relations with America to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump received "peace signals" from Ukraine and Russia
Following Trump's decision, on March 5, the US president announced that he received a “significant letter” from Ukraine.
"This letter indicates Ukraine's readiness for peace negotiations," Trump said.
He also emphasized that strong signals regarding peace negotiations have come from Russia as well.
According to Washington officials, if Zelensky demonstrates his commitment to peace, the US will return to negotiations with Kyiv.
