China is introducing a new revolutionary V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technology by connecting electric vehicles to the power grid, according to speedme.ru. With this technology, electric vehicles not only charge but also return excess energy to the grid.
Pilot projects have been launched in nine cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The system helps reduce load during peak electricity consumption and ensures the stability of the grid.
The project is supported by the government and is being implemented with the participation of China's National Development and Reform Commission. Electric vehicle owners can return energy to the grid and receive compensation.
By the end of the year, 30 such projects will be launched in the country, and by 2025, this figure will reach 50. V2G is a key stage in China's integration of electric vehicles into infrastructure and its sustainable energy strategy.
