The Ministry of Justice reported that the poem titled "I Need an Unloved Beloved" by Fergana poet Ilhomjon Komilov was used by singer Sardor Mamadaliyev without the permission of the rights holder and without a proper contract. This was announced by the ministry's press service.
Regarding the incident, an administrative offense report was prepared against the offender under Article 177-prim 1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (violation of copyright and related rights) and sent to the relevant court.
According to the decision of the Sergeli District Court of Tashkent city, the offender was fined in the amount of twice the basic calculation amount (750,000 soums) under the first part of Article 177-prim 1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
The Ministry of Justice informed that copyright-infringed creators can report via the hotline 1008 or contact through the email address [email protected].
