Bitcoin market participants are expecting a price decline

The latest changes in the Bitcoin market indicate that cryptocurrency traders are currently expecting a slight price decline. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from futures contracts and the order book, buyers’ main interest is focused on prices in the range of $68,000 to $70,000. At the same time, sellers’ pressure in the futures market is noticeably increasing.
The declining ratio of buy to sell indicators suggests that sellers are more active than buyers in the trading areas. Many specialists emphasize that market participants are opening new positions precisely at liquidity accumulation points.
Special analytical indicators confirm that the price zone around $68,000–$70,000 has been the area of the highest trading activity since November of last year. High activity in this range indicates that the majority of positions opened in recent months have accumulated around these levels.
Market analysis shows that at the same time, sellers’ activity is prevailing over buyers’ aspirations, which increases the likelihood of a downward price movement.
The liquidity map, as it is called, clearly displays additional risks in the market. For example, around $74,700, there is a significant volume of long-term positions, with a total value exceeding $3 billion.
If the Bitcoin price drops to $70,000, the volume of forced liquidations could reach up to $11 billion. These figures indicate that traders currently expect the price to rise above $80,000 less than they focus on lower, more stable levels.
According to data from analytical platforms, small and medium-sized investors have generally begun to accumulate funds in anticipation of price growth. Their share constitutes more than 60% of the market indicator.
Historical experience shows that such excessive confidence from retail investors often precedes a temporary price peak and a subsequent decline in the near term. Therefore, market participants should make decisions cautiously, taking into account the possibility of a slowdown in the pace of price growth.
