During an operation conducted by law enforcement agencies in the city of Andijan, the former head of the Andijan district department of the Cadastre Agency, A.M, and his associate S. were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe from citizen N.A.
According to reports, they promised to prepare official cadastral documents by converting a 1-hectare plot of land allocated for gardening in the Andijan district into a residential category. They stated that they would carry out this task through acquaintances working at the Republican Cadastre Chamber and received a total of 10,000 US dollars in return, at which time they were apprehended with material evidence.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against citizen A.M and others under parts "a, b" of Article 168, part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as parts "a, b" of Article 28 and part 2 of Article 211, and they have been detained in accordance with procedural rules.
Investigation activities are currently ongoing.
